SPECIALTIES

Neurology at CVETS

The CVETS Neurology and Neurosurgery department is staffed by a board-certified Veterinary neurologist who has undergone extensive additional training in the treatment of diseases of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.

THE FIRST STEPS

The initial step in the treatment of any neurologic disease is diagnosis. This is accomplished through advanced imaging techniques, including CT scans and MRIs. CVETS has the fastest veterinary CT scanner in the state of South Carolina, allowing for rapid image acquisition and avoidance of the need for general anesthesia.  Additionally, the 1.5T MRI and on-site radiologist provide for crystal clear images and an immediate interpretation, leading to faster diagnoses and ultimately quicker treatment.
