The CVETS neurology department is staffed by two board-certified veterinary neurologists. Dr. Kendra Bohn and Dr. Patti Lawler have undergone extensive additional training in the treatment of diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.

Advanced Diagnostics

The initial step in the treatment of any neurologic disease is diagnosis. This is accomplished through advanced imaging techniques, including CT scans and MRIs.

CT Scans – CVETS has the fastest veterinary CT scanner in the state of South Carolina, allowing for rapid image acquisition and avoidance of the need for general anesthesia.

MRI – Our 1.5T MRI and on-site board-certified veterinary radiologist provide for crystal clear images and an immediate interpretation, leading to faster diagnoses and ultimately quicker treatment.

I came to CVETS after my dog had two seizures. Immediately upon arrival, my dog was taken to be examined. The clinical staff was friendly, courteous, and seemed genuinely concerned about my dog. I felt that I had made the right choice in bringing her to CVETS just by observing how efficiently the emergency room was operating. Her Neurologist, Dr. Bohn, explained my dog’s diagnosis to me in a way that I could understand, and my dog Gabbie is now home and doing fine. Thank you to CVETS for having hired such a wonderful staff!!

The folks at the front desk welcomed us, showed us immediately to the exam room. The neurologist/nurse Angela was very specific and thorough as was Dr. Lawler who went over options for our dog.
