About Dr. Marissa Kent

Dr. Kent-Powers grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina. She attended Clemson University and graduated in 2009 with a Pre-Vet degree.

Following Clemson University, she attended Ross University for Vet school and graduated in 2013. She then completed a rotating internship with Springfield Veterinary Referral Center in Virginia in 2014.

From there, Dr. Kent moved to Midland, Texas for three years where she worked in a general practice.

Following that, she moved to Augusta, Georgia and worked in emergency medicine for another three years. Most recently, she relocated to Columbia to work as an Emergency Veterinarian at CVETS, and to be closer to her family.

In her free time, Dr. Kent enjoys hiking, running, and being outdoors with her pets and family.
