CVETS Achieves Level I VECCS Accreditation

We have some big news to share with our Columbia community! CVETS has officially been accredited as a Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS) Level I Certified Facility.

While that might sound like a mouthful of technical terms, it represents something very simple: The highest level of emergency and critical care available in the veterinary world is now right here in your backyard.

What is a Level I Facility?

A Level I certification isn’t just a badge; it’s a promise. It recognizes CVETS as a 24-hour acute care hospital with the specialized training, staffing, and high-tech resources necessary to provide sophisticated intensive care.

Previously, these advanced life-support measures were typically found only at large university teaching hospitals. Now, South Carolina pet owners no longer have to travel out of state or to a distant university to find “Gold Standard” care during a crisis.
